Course Description:

In this crochet workshop we will make a simple but beautiful tea cosy. The workshop is suited to complete beginners who have never picked up a crochet hook before. Perhaps you’ve tried to teach yourself to crochet and now need some in-person support. It would also work well as a refresher for those who have crocheted before, but some time ago.

The workshop will cover the crochet basics of holding your hook and yarn, and you will learn to make chains and treble stitches, giving a good basis for starting your crochet journey.

Bring along the tea pot you would like to make a cosy for, we will start this in class, and you’ll have everything you need to finish your cosy at home.

There will be various colours of yarn for you to choose from, this is included in the workshop. If you have a 4 mm crochet hook then bring that along with you, however there will be some with your instructor, Karen. 

If you’re buying a hook, a Knit Pro or a Clover is recommended.
